Making a Difference
from Call the Midwife blog:
Thank you PBS for picking up this series. What an opportunity to begin to enlighten young women that not so long ago midwives were the primary caregivers of women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period as well as primary care.
Hopefully this series will raise curiosity and conversation about midwives in the new millennium. Women need to understand midwifery care is still an intelligent, viable option for them today.
Wondering about Cosmetics?
Attending births is like
You have to marvel at the ones that just open up and bloom
at the first kiss of the sun
but you wouldn’t dream of pulling open the petals of the tightly closed buds
and forcing them to blossom to your time line.

Deb, from September Hill attended the birth of our daughter on 10/12. We had a home birth and it was everything we had hoped for. I don't know how far she travels but it was almost an hr to our house. She was very knowledgeable about all aspects of a natural and drug free birth. We were so happy that we switched to SHM even though I was already 7 months along. Can't thank her enough.
You are constructing your own reality with the choices you make ... or don't make.
If you really want a healthy pregnancy and joyful birth, and you truly understand that you are the one in control, then you must examine what you have or haven't done, so far, to create the outcome you want.
